In this course students continue to learn Biblical Hebrew through active methods of language acquisition. Students continue to speak, read, write, and listen to Hebrew. Emphasis is placed on reading a number of easy stories. This term students read the book of Tobit in simple Biblical Hebrew. Vocabulary is acquired through Hebrew Picta Dicta, a new online tool which introduces words through hand-drawn color images. Instead of memorizing English equivalents, students learn to associate the image directly with the Hebrew word. Students learn to read unpointed Hebrew prose by listening to an audio recording while following the text.

This course runs from July 5 – Sept 10 (10 weeks)
